D Page 8-7At the routes screen, press the CURSOR PAD left or right toselect the particular sort field (whenever you sort the routeslist, you retain the currently selected route).Sorting by chartdisplay and savestatusTo show those routes marked for display on the CHART screenor those routes marked to accept SAVE keypresses (bothexpressed with the word ON), press the CURSOR PAD left orright to highlight the CHT column or the SAVE column,respectively, and those routes will appear at the top of the list.Sorting by name To show routes in alphabetical order, press the CURSOR PADleft or right to highlight the NAME column. Routes with a spe-cial character or a number as the first character appear at thetop of the list.Sorting by date To show routes sorted by date of modification, press the CUR-SOR PAD left or right to highlight the MODIFIED column, andthe most recently modified routes will appear at the top of thelist.Sorting by length To show the routes sorted by length, press the CURSOR PADleft or right to highlight the LENGTH column, and the shorterroutes will appear at the top of the list.Sorting byproximityTo show the sorted routes by distance, press the CURSORPAD left or right to highlight the PROXIMITY column, and theroutes closest to your position will appear at the top of the list.Searching for a routeIf you’ve stored hundreds of routes, scrolling through theentire list to find the one you want may be tedious. Instead,you can search the entire database for a particular route. Atthe ROUTES screen, press the CURSOR PAD left or right tohighlight the NAME column, and enter a search request in theSEARCH FOR field using the KEYPAD to type in the first fewcharacters of the route’s name.
