A Page 7-9The avoidance point that you find during your search willappear in the list at about the third line from the top, whichlets you easily view avoidance points that are above and belowthe found avoidance point.Creating a new avoidance pointYou can create and store up to 200 avoidance points in thedatabase. There are two ways to create and store a newavoidance point:• graphically—on the CHART screen—by moving the cursorto any position and storing it• numerically—by entering the coordinates at theAVOIDANCE POINTS screenCreating a newavoidance pointgraphicallyYou can create a new avoidance point right on the CHARTscreen. To store the cursor location as an avoidance point:1. On the CHART screen, press the CURSOR PAD to movethe cursor to the desired location (to establish a preciseposition for this new avoidance point, press the IN or OUTkeys to zoom the chart view in or out).The lat/lon coordinates are shown on the CURSOR INFOBAR.2. Press the CURSOR menu key.The SELECTED CURSOR POSITION dialog boxappears. If desired, you can change the coordinatesbefore moving to the next step.
