Remove a processorFollow instructions in this section to remove a processor. This task requires a Torx T20 driver.About this taskImportant: This task must be operated by trained technicians that are certified by Lenovo Service. Do noattempt to remove or install it without proper training and qualification.Attention:• Read “Installation Guidelines” on page 39 and “Safety inspection checklist” on page 40 to ensure that youwork safely.• Power off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. Removing a processorStep 1. Use a Torx T20 screwdriver to loosen the screw.Step 2. Slightly lift up the retention frame in the direction shown.Step 3. Slightly lift up the rail frame in the direction shown. The processor in the rail frame is spring-loaded.Step 4.
