If the measurement parameteris set to resistance OHMS (R), B2961A/B2962A automatically calculates resistancevalue from measured voltage and current.For performing accurate measurement, B2961A/B2962A provides thecompensation function.Resistance CompensationResistance compensation (R Compen) is effective for performing low resistancemeasurements accurately. If R Compen is set to ON, the channel performsmeasurement twice and returns the compensated measurement result given by thefollowing formula. This technique is effective for reducing the thermal EMF.R compen=(V2-V1)/(I2-I1 )where, V1 is the measurement results at the 0 A source condition, and I1 is themeasurement results at the 0 V source condition.To enable resistance compensation, press the Config > Measure > R Compen > ONfunction key on a 1-channel model, or the Config > Measure > R Compen > ALL orCh 1 or Ch2 > ON function key on a 2-channel model.To disable resistance compensation, press the Config > Measure > R Compen >OFF function key on a 1-channel model, or the Config > Measure > R Compen >ALL or Ch 1 or Ch2 > OFF function key on a 2-channel model.
