Setting system parametersSetting system parametersThe following settings should not be altered without good reason, since they arefactory presets or operational settings, matched specifically to your receiving sys-tem.Only extensions to the receiving systems or modifications call for new settings.The selected menus, submenus, entries, and parameters are highlighted. Themenus are mainly self-explanatory. In the bar displayed below the menu, informa-tion is to be found for the particular menu entry.The main menu comprises of the following submenus:Programme lists,System parameters,Installation andMenu languageSystem parametersSelect the menu „System parameters“ with the menu button, the buttons in the main menu and . The buttons are used to select fur-ther positions.Parental lockThe basic settings that can be implemented here are described under the settingup of parental lock in chapter "Password."System informationUnder the „System information“ entry, you will find the factory presets, which can-not be altered, and are intended solely for service personnel.Press the or button to return to the submenu system parameters.Local time / timerThe receiver displays the UTC time transmitted with the data stream (United TimeCoordinate, former Greenwich Mean Time). Therefore in Germany, the time mustbe corrected by +1 hour.A correction for summer time may possibly be required so that the timers turn onand off at correct times.You can make this correction yourself using the numerical buttons. Move the cur-sor bar with the button to the entry Local time/Timer. The first digit in the timeentry is shadowed. You can now correct date and time with the numerical buttons.After each entry, the cursor jumps to the next position. Press the two times toend the entry. The receiver saves the new setting.Afterwards, do not switch off the receiver with the mains switch but rather with theremote control, otherwise the settings will be lost.Timer menuSee section "Timer settings."34
