PasswordPasswordYou can prevent your satellite receiver to be used by unauthorised persons bymeans of a password. With this password, you can ensure your reception settingsare not changed by other persons. At the same time, you can activate the parentalcontrol function to lock out various programmes.Keep your password in a safe place so that you always have access to yourchannels should you ever forget it.Factory settingThe password „0000“ inactively set in the factory.Entering a passwordCall up the mains menu by pressing the button: In this menu, press the buttons to select the "systemparameters" and confirm by pressing .Now press the buttons to selectthe "parental control" function and confirmby pressing . You may be asked toenter a password.Carry out the following settings in this on-screen display:Age limit: This setting is only effective ifthe corresponding lock-out signals aresent together with the transmission..Lock list: Yes/No. With this option you canlock or unlock the editing function forchannel lists.Lock installation: Yes/No. With this option you can lock or grant access to the in-stallation menu.New password: Here you can enter your (new) password with the aid of the num-ber buttons.Confirm password: Here you enter your (new) password once again with the num-ber buttons to serve as a confirmation.Personal: Here, enter the receiver identification which is displayed when the re-ceiver is turned on. This is useful for identification in case of theft. See section"operating instructions" for information on how to use the numerical buttons on theremote control for alphanumerical entry. The factory setting is „UFD 520“.You have now undertaken all the settings for safeguarding and identifying yoursatellite receiver.Parental lockYou can set parental lock in a manner similar to that used for marking favouriteprogrammes by means of the "Apple" symbol.
