It also sends a LowBattery report to the central station (if programmed). The keypad is cleared by entering any security code +OFF, and a Restore report is sent to the central stationif the situation has been corrected.Dialer TestThe VISTA-128BPT/VISTA-250BPT may beprogrammed to automatically transmit test reports to acentral station at intervals ranging from once per hourto once per 9999 hours (field ∗27).UL requires the test report to be transmitted at leastonce every 24 hours. The system can be programmed tosend the first report at any time of the day, or on anyday of the week (field ∗83).Burglary Walk-Test (Code + [5] TEST)This test causes the system to sound keypad beeps inresponse to faults on zones for the purpose of allowingproper zone operation to be checked without triggeringalarms. This test can be activated by any-level user byentering the corresponding security code and pressingTEST while the burglary portion of the system isdisarmed. UL requires that this test be conducted on aweekly basis. When this test is first entered, the system activates thealarm output for 3 seconds. The system sends a Start ofWalk-Test message to the central station. The keypaddisplays “Burg Walk Test in Progress” and sounds asingle beep every 15 seconds while the test remainsactive.Open and close each protected door and window in turn. Each action should produce three beeps from thekeypad. Walk in front of any motion detectors. Listenfor three beeps when the detector senses movement. The keypad displays the zone number and alphadescriptor while a door or window remains open orwhile a detector remains activated. To end this test, enter any security code and press OFF.An End of Walk-Test message is sent to the centralstation. The system automatically exits the Test modeif there is no activity (no doors or windowsare opened and closed, no motion detectorsare activated, etc.) for 30 minutes on theVISTA-128BPT, 60 minutes on the VISTA-250BPT. The system beeps the keypad(s)twice every 15 seconds during the last 5minutes as a warning that it is about to exitthe Test mode and return to normal operation.Armed Burglary System TestAlarm messages are sent to the central stationduring the armed system tests. Notify thecentral station that a test will be in progress.A display of “COMM. FAILURE” indicates afailure to communicate (no kissoff by the receiverat the central station after the maximum numberof transmission attempts is tried). If this occurs, verify that the phone line is connected, thecorrect report format is programmed, etc.
