You may losedata if you do not follow the correct procedure.To turn off the server:1 See the operating system’s documentation or online help for instructions on shuttingdown the operating system. Whenever possible, you should use the operating system’sshut down procedure instead of pressing the power button.2 If your server did not turn off automatically, press and hold the power button untilthe server turns off.Warning The power button on the server does not turn off server AC power.To remove AC power from the server, you must unplug bothAC power cords from the wall outlet or power source. The powercords are considered the disconnect device to the main (AC) power.Caution If you routinely turn off your server (daily or weekly), do not unplugthe server or use the On/Off switch on the UPS. Regularly cuttingoff all power to your server may cause the CMOS battery to failprematurely.
