G 190-00356-085.3 Configuration Mode OperationsWith power applied to the aviation rack and the 400W Series unit turned off, press and hold the ENT keyand turn the unit on. Release the ENT key when the display activates. After the Data Base andInstrument Panel Self-test pages, the first page displayed is the MAIN ARINC 429 CONFIG page. Whilein Configuration Mode, pages can be selected by ensuring the cursor is off and rotating the small rightknob.To change data on the displayed Configuration Page, press the small right knob (CRSR) to turn on thecursor. Rotate the large right knob to change between data fields. Rotate the small right knob to changea field that the cursor is on. Once you have made the desired selection, press the ENT key to accept theentry.The Configuration Pages described in the following sections are in the order found when rotating theright small knob clockwise starting at the MAIN ARINC 429 CONFIG page.NOTEThe configuration pages shown here reflect main software version 4.00. Somedifferences in operation may be observed when comparing the information in this manualto later software versions. All configuration pages shown apply to the GNS 430W, butnot all apply to the GPS 400W or GNC 420W. Those pages and fields that apply only tocertain 400W Series units are denoted as such.NOTEIf any changes made in configuration mode are done on ARINC 429 or RS-232 pages,the unit must be reset for the changes to take effect.
