When Variable Mode is selected, the Ethernet Status bits are referenced as I/O variables. The I/Ovariables are mapped to the Ethernet status bits via this configuration tab.Figure 19: Terminals Tab Settings in Proficy Machine EditionThe use of I/O variables allows you to configure the Ethernet interface without having to specify the referenceaddresses to use for the status information.
