Your garage door opener has already been programmed at the factory to operate with your hand-held remotecontrol. The door will open and close when you press the large push button.Below are instructions for programming your opener to operate with additional Security✚ remote controls.To Add an Additional Hand-held Remote ControlUSING THE “LEARN” BUTTON USING THE PREMIUM CONTROL CONSOLETo Erase All Codes From MotorUnit MemoryTo deactivate any unwantedremote, first erase all codes:Press and hold the “learn” buttonon motor unit until the learnindicator light goes out (approximately 6 seconds). Allprevious codes are now erased. Reprogram eachremote or keyless entry you wish to use.*3-Function RemotesIf provided with your garage door opener, the largebutton is factory programmed to operate it. Additionalbuttons on anySecurity✚ 3-functionremote or compactremote can beprogrammed to operateother Security✚ garagedoor openers.1. Press and release the “learn”button on the motor unit. Thelearn indicator light will glowsteadily for 30 seconds.2. Within 30 seconds, press andhold the button on the hand-heldremote* that you wish to operateyour garage door.3. Release the button when themotor unit lights blink. It haslearned the code. If light bulbsare not installed, two clicks willbe heard.1. Press and hold the button on thehand-held remote* that you wishto operate your garage door.2. While holding the remote button,press and hold the LIGHT buttonon the Premium Control Console.3. Continue holding both buttonswhile you press the push bar onthe Premium Control Console(all three buttons are held).4. Release buttons when the motorunit lights blink. It has learned thecode.
