Avertical reinforcement brace should cover theheight of the top panel.The illustration shows one piece of angle iron as thehorizontal brace. For the vertical brace, two pieces ofangle iron are used to create a "U"-shaped support(Figure 1). The best solution is to check with yourgarage door manufacturer for an opener installationdoor reinforcement kit.NOTE: Many vertical brace installations provide fordirect attachment of the clevis pin and door arm.
