7TroubleshootingPhenomenon Cause Corrective ActionPaper rubs against the printhead1.2.The type of paper specified in theprinter driver does not match thetype loaded in the printer.The Printhead is set too low in theControl Panel menu.Paper has been loaded incorrectly,causing it to wrinkle.You are printing on heavyweightpaper or paper that curls orwrinkles easily after absorbing ink.Load paper of the same type as you have specified inthe printer driver.Make sure the same type of paper is specified in theprinter driver as you have loaded in the printer.Press the Stop button and stop printing.Change the type of paper in the printer driver andtry printing again.In the Control Panel menu, set Head Height toAutomatic.Reload the paper.When printing on CAD Tracing Paper or other film-based media, choose a VacuumStrngth setting ofStandard, Strong, or Strongest in the Control Panelmenu. If rubbing still occurs, in the Control Panelmenu, use a higher Head Height setting.When printing on Heavyweight Coated Paper orother paper-based media, choose a VacuumStrngthsetting of Strong or Strongest in the Control Panelmenu.
