However, as the battery pack will naturallydischarge itself over time, it is best to charge it the same day you plan to use it, or the day before.Taking Care of the Battery PackAlways attach the terminal cover.• Do not allow any metal objects to touch the terminals, asthis can cause a short circuit and damage the battery pack.Attach the terminal cover whenever the battery pack is notbeing used.Keep the terminals clean.• The camcorder adapter or battery pack will not work properly if the terminals are dirty. Attachthe terminal cover whenever the battery pack is not being used.Storing the battery pack• Storing a charged battery pack for long periods of time (about 1 year) can shorten its lifecycle oraffect performance. We recommend to discharge the battery pack in the camcorder fully and tostore it in a dry place.
