87ShootingResetting the File NumberThe images you shoot are automatically assigned a file number. You can setwhether or not the file numbers of a new SD card consecutively follow thefile numbers on the previous SD card.Setting the File No. Reset to [Off] is useful for avoiding file nameduplication when images are downloaded to a computer.OnThe file number is reset to the start (100-0001) each time a new SDcard is inserted. New images recorded on SD cards with existing filesare assigned the next available number.Off The file number of the last image to be shot is memorized so thatimages recorded to a new SD card start from the next number.1 In the (Set up) menu, select .See Selecting Menus and Settings (p. 42).2 Use the or button to select[On] or [Off] and press the MENUbutton.The display will return to the Shootingscreen.
