The camera divides images into severalzones for light metering. It evaluates complex lightingconditions, such as the position of the subject, thebrightness, the direct light, and the backlighting, andadjusts the settings to the correct exposure for the mainsubject.Center-WeightedAverageAverages the light metered from the entire frame, butgives greater weight to the subject matter at the center.SpotMeters the area within the spot AE point at the center ofthe LCD monitor. Use this setting when you want to setthe exposure on the subject in the center of the monitor.1 Press the button to switchbetween metering modes.The selected metering mode appears on theLCD monitor.
