Black plate (9,1)Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV Owner Manual - 2011Lighting 6-9Turn Signal On ChimeIf the turn signal is left on for morethan 1.2 km (0.75 miles), a chimewill sound at each flash of the turnsignal and the message TURNSIGNAL ON will also appear in theDriver Information Control (DIC).To turn the chime and message off,move the turn signal lever to the offposition.Fog LampsFor vehicles with fog lamps, thecontrol is located next to the exteriorlamps control on the instrumentpanel to the left of the steeringcolumn.# (Fog Lamps): Press the buttonto turn the fog lamps on or off.A indicator light comes on inthe instrument panel cluster.The ignition must be in theON/RUN position for the foglamps to come on.When the fog lamps are turned on,the headlamps automaticallyturn on.When the headlamps are changedto high-beam, the fog lamps also gooff. When the high-beam headlampsgo off, the fog lamps will come onagain.Some localities have laws thatrequire the headlamps to be onalong with the fog lamps.Interior LightingInstrument PanelIllumination ControlD (Instrument PanelBrightness): This feature controlsthe brightness of the instrumentpanel lights and is located nextto the exterior lamps control.
