Black plate (5,1)Cadillac Escalade/Escalade ESV Owner Manual - 2011Lighting 6-5Disabling and ResettingIntelliBeam at the Rearview MirrorIntelliBeam can be disabled byusing the controls on the insiderearview mirror.AUTO 3 (On/Off): To disablethe system, press this buttonon the inside rearview mirror.The IntelliBeam indicator will turn offand will not come back on until theIntelliBeam button is pressed again.(Stalk Disable): When IntelliBeamhas turned on the high-beams,pull or push the high-beam stalk.This will disable IntelliBeam.The IntelliBeam indicator on themirror will turn off. To re-enableIntelliBeam, press the IntelliBeambutton on the mirror.A different sensitivity setting isavailable for dealer diagnostics.This is done by pushing and holdingthis button for 20 seconds until theIntelliBeam indicator light flashesthree times. If you accidentallyactivate this, the vehicle's settingwill automatically be reset each timethe ignition is turned off and thenon again.Cleaning the IntelliBeam LightSensorThe light sensor is located on theinside of the vehicle in front of theinside rearview mirror.Clean the light sensor window,periodically, using glass cleaner ona soft cloth. Gently wipe the sensorwindow. Do not spray glass cleanerdirectly on the surface of the sensorwindow.Exterior Lamps OffReminderIf a door is open, a reminder chimesounds when the headlamps orparking lamps are manually turnedon and the key is out of the ignition.To turn off the chime, turn theheadlamp switch to off or AUTO andthen back on, or close and re-openthe door. In the AUTO mode, theheadlamps turn off once the ignitionis in LOCK/OFF or remains on untilthe headlamp delay ends (if enabledin the DIC).
