Installation in an area with high humidityIdeally, the bubble of your dome camera should remain in place. The dome contains a breathervent, which generates equalization of pressure through air exchange to reduce stress in sealedenclosures. It is able to withstand the most extreme weather conditions and environments. If you must remove the bubble (for example, to install or remove an SD card), do not leave thebubble off of the dome for longer than five minutes.Bosch also recommends that you keep the dome camera in its packaging until you are ready toinstall the camera.3. Installation in a corrosive environment (for example, near a coastline)The fasteners and fixtures shipped with the camera help to keep the camera secure. Alwaysuse Bosch-supplied screws and other fasteners during the installation or maintenance of thecamera. Before installation, inspect the metal parts of the camera for paint that is chipped orotherwise damaged. If you notice any paint damage, touch up the damage with locallyavailable paint or sealants.Avoid installation practices that can bring the camera’s metal mountings in contact withmaterials such as stainless steel. Such contacts can result in galvanic corrosion and degradethe cosmetic appearance of the camera. These cosmetic damages caused by improperinstallation are not covered by warranty as they do not affect the functionality of the camera. The customer is responsible for the choice of surface and environment to install the device.4. Outdoor installationUse proper surge suppression on your network video, power, audio, and alarm cables.5.
