47uuAirbagsuFront Airbags (SRS)Safe DrivingYour front airbags have advanced features to help reduce the likelihood of airbagrelated injuries to smaller occupants. The driver’s advanced front airbag systemincludes a seat position sensor. If the seat is too far forward, the airbaginflates with less force, regardless of theseverity of the impact. The passenger’s advanced front airbag systemhas weight sensors.Although we recommend against carrying aninfant or small child in front, if the sensorsdetect the weight of a child (up to about 65lbs or 29 kg), the system will automaticallyturn off the passenger’s front airbag.■ Advanced Airbags 1Advanced AirbagsIf there is a problem with the driver’s seat positionsensor, the SRS indicator will come on and the airbagwill inflate with full (normal) force, regardless of thedriver’s seating position. For both advanced front airbags to work properly:• Do not spill any liquid on or under the seats.• Do not put any object under the passenger’s seat.• Make sure any objects are positioned properly onthe floor. Improperly positioned objects caninterfere with the advanced airbag sensors.• All occupants should sit upright and wear their seatbelts properly.• Do not place any cover over the passenger sidedashboard.Make sure the floor mat behind the front passenger’sseat is hooked to the floor mat anchor. An improperlyplaced mat can interfere with the advanced airbagsensors.2 Floor Mats P. 486Driver’sSeatPositionSensorPassenger’sSeatWeightSensors16 ACURA MDX-31TZ56200.book 47 ページ 2015年3月4日 水曜日 午後2時59分
