If the light comes on at any othertime, or does not come on at all, youshould have the system checked byyour dealer. For example:If the SRS indicator light does notcome on after you turn the ignitionON (II).If the light stays on after theengine starts.If the light comes on or flashes onand off while you drive.The SRS indicator lightalerts you to a potentialproblem with your front airbags andautomatic seat belt tensioners.When you turn the ignition ON (II),this indicator will light briefly thengo out. This tells you that the systemis working properly.If you see any of these indications,your front or side airbags may notdeploy, your passenger’s side airbagautomatic cutoff system may notwork properly, or your seat belttensioners may not work when youneed them.
