– 13 –ENTRY / EXIT DELAYSGeneral InformationYour system has preset time delays, known as Exit Delay and Entry Delay. When you arm your system, Exit Delay gives you time to leave through theentry/exit door without setting off an alarm. Entry Delay gives you time todisarm the system when you re-enter through the entry/exit door. The systemmust be disarmed, however, before the entry delay period ends, or an alarmwill occur. The keypad will beep slowly during the entry delay period, reminding you to disarm the system. You can also arm the system with no entry delay at all by using eitherINSTANT or MAXIMUM arming modes. These modes can provide greatersecurity while you are sleeping or while you are away for extended periods oftime. Remember, there will be NO entry delay when arming INSTANT orMAXIMUM.See your installer for your programmed delay times and record them here:Exit Delay: seconds Entry Delay: secondsExit Delay Alerting SoundAsk your installer if this feature is active for your system, and if so, checkhere:When arming the system AWAY (see page 20) or MAXIMUM (see page 21),slow warning tones will sound from the keypad(s) during the exit delay, turning to fast tones during the final five seconds of the exit delay time.Exit Delay RestartCheck here if active:Your system may have been programmed to allow you to restart the exitdelay after the system has been armed in STAY mode. This is useful if youwish to open the entry/exit door to let someone in after arming the system, and avoids having to disarm the system and then rearm it again. Ifprogrammed, you can restart the exit delay by pressing the [T] key. Ask yourinstaller if this feature is active for your system. If so, check box above.www.PDF-Zoo.com
