Installation ManualH3C S7500 Series Ethernet Switches Chapter 6 Hardware Maintenance6-116.7.4 Installing and Removing a Memory ModuleFollow these steps to remove a memory module:1) Wear the ESD-preventive wrist strap and remove the board, on which is thememory module should be replaced, out of the chassis.2) Press the ejector clips on both side of memory slot and meanwhile push thememory module outward until the memory module is separated from the ejectorclips.3) Remove the memory module.Figure 6-9 Remove the memory module from the slotTake the following steps to install the memory module:1) Align the collecting fingers of the memory module with the memory module slot onthe board.2) Slide the memory module along the guide rails into the slot.3) Press the edges of the memory module downwards along the guide rails. Thememory module snaps into the slot when you hear a click.4) Check that the ejector clips of the slot have locked the memory module.Figure 6-10 Install a memory module6.8 Replacing and Cleaning the Air FilterAn air filter is installed at the air intake vent of the power module of the S7500 series.Dust in the air may block the vent on the air filter over a long period of time, whichaffects the heat dissipation of the power module.
