56 ClearStream CS615 User Manual - Copyright © 2008, 2007 Ziova CorporationAppendix AFirmware UpgradesUpgrading the firmware modifies the code that controls the device.When performing an upgrade, do not interrupt the process or cut power to the player –failed firmware upgrades may result in an inoperable unit.Upgrade via WebTo upgrade the firmware from the internet, your ClearStream player will need to haveinternet access.You can confirm internet access by going to WebRadio, and seeing if the player isable to browse the Shoutcast listings.• Press the ‘SETUP’ button to open the Settings menu.• From the settings menu select ‘Firmware’• Select ‘Upgrade from Web’• At this point the player will check the internet for an updated firmware.• If it finds one it will display a message confirming the version it is upgradingfrom and the version it will be upgraded to.• If you are happy to continue select ‘YES’ to continue.• The player will then start the upgrade.• Do not turn the player off or press any buttons on the remote while theupgrade is taking place.• When the upgrade is finished the player will ask you to press ‘OK’ to restartyour player.• To confirm the upgrade you can check the ‘Info’ page in the settings menu.
