5.2.4 Harmonics current for devices ≥ 4 and ≤ 16 AAccording to EN 61000-3-2 these devices are to be classified as “professional” devices. Theapplication is therefore limited to use by trade, certain vocations or industries.Connection to a low voltage supply (public networks) is allowed insofar as this has been clarified withthe respective energy supply company responsible.5.2.5 Harmonics current and line impedance for devices > 16 A and ≤ 75 AExtract from EN 61000-3-12, valid for equipments with rated current > 16 A and ≤ 75 A, connected topublic low-voltage systems. This equipment complies with IEC 61000-3-12 provided that the short-circuit power SSC is greater than or equalto RSCE x Sequ at the interface point between the user's supply and the public system. It is the responsibility of the installer or user of the equipment to ensure, by consultation with the distributionnetwork operator if necessary, that the equipment is connected only to a supply with a short-circuit power SSCgreater than or equal to RSCE x Sequ.SSC Short-circuit power from line at the interface point between the user's supply and the public systemSequ Rated - apparent power for three phase devices: Sequ = √3 x UI x Iequ(UI = phase to phase voltage Technical data “Line voltage”)(Iequ = rated current of the device Technical data “Rated current input”)RSCE Short-circuit ratioFor this devices: RSCE ≤ 120 (the respective value can be inquired by the manufacturer)5.3 Mains connection5.3.1 Line voltagePower from the mains is connected to terminals: PE, L1, L2, L3 and N (depending on type). Here, itmust be strictly observed that the mains voltage lies within the allowable tolerance specifications (Technical data and nameplate affixed to the side). The neutral conductor connection “N” is only available for the device types with 25 A rated current forthe reduction of the leakage current. It is irrelevant for the device’s functionality, for those supplynetworks without neutral conductors the connection is not required. Because however, higher leakagecurrents can flow through the “PE” conductor connection, undesirable erroneous activation may occuron systems equipped with FI circuit breakers.FXDM4.2 and FXDM5The PE-connection of the supply line must be connected to the same terminal as the connection tothe pcb (increase of interference immunity).Attention!• Not suitable for IT network!• To activate the on current limitation, you must wait at least 90 seconds after switching offthe line voltage before switching back on!5.3.2 Required quality attributes for the mains voltageDanger due to electric currentThe mains voltage must comply with the EN 50160 quality characteristics and the defined standardvoltages in IEC 60038!5.3.3 Leakage current, securely attached, ground wire double up to 10 mm²Danger due to electric currentIn accordance with the defined networks in DIN EN 60990, the device has a leakage current >3.5 mA so it must be permanantly connected. The protective ground must be made double inaccordance with EN 50178 Point 5.2.11and 5.3.2.1 up to a cross section of at least 10 mm².Operating Instructions Icontrol – model series FXDM Electrical installationL-BAL-E036-GB 1422 Index 008 Part.-No. 00154773-GB12/96
