8825/8830 DDS User Guide/91ReferenceScanner DiagnosticsComponent Tests (continued)Output TestsThe OUTPUT tests allow the operation of the Exposure Lamp and the Motorto be checked.Select OUTPUT from the COMPONENT TESTS menu.The OUTPUT screen is displayed.Press the Next key or the Previous key to highlight the item to be tested.Press the Enter key to confirm the choice of that item. Press the Next keyto change the state of the item, and press the enter key to confirm thechoice. For example, highlight LAMP, press the Enter key to enter theLAMP function, then press Enter to switch the Lamp off and on. Press theExit key to leave the LAMP function.To check the directional switching of the Motor, first switch the Motor on,then select DIRECTION and press the Enter key to switch the direction fromFORWARD to REVERSE, then back to FORWARD again. The Motor andDrive Rolls should change the direction of rotation appropriately.Press the Exit key to leave the OUTPUT screen.
