8825/8830 DDS User Guide/110Job Accounting – Submitting jobsUsing the 8825/8830 DDS with Job AccountingSubmitting Jobs from the ScannerWhen Job Accounting is either enabled or optionally enabledfrom the DDSUser Interface, the user is initially shown the PLEASE ENTER ACCOUNTNUMBER screen. Enabling or disabling Job Accountingfrom the DDS UserInterface hasno effect on jobs submitted over the network.If Job Accounting is OPTIONALLY ENABLED, the user may:• enter a valid account number and press the Enter key, or• press the Enter key directly.In either case, the READY... screen is displayed, and the user may scan andprint copies. If a valid account number has been entered, all usage ischarged to that account and is also accrued under System Account 0.1. Ifno account number was entered, usage is accrued only in the SystemAccount under subaccounts 0.1 (total system usage) and 0.3 (usage by jobswith no account number.If Job Accounting is ENABLED, then the usermust enter a valid accountnumber before the READY... screen will be displayed. The message ORPRESS ENTER isnot displayed.In any case, invalid numbers will be rejected, and the user will be asked toenter a valid number.PLEASE ENTERACCOUNTOR PRESS ENTER
