Troubleshooting8.1 Vacon 50X Fault CodesTable 1 shows the fault codes that may be displayed during Vacon 50X AC drive operation, along with sug-gestions for recovering from the fault condition. When faults occur, you can access the status parameters that are saved along with the fault (AdvancedFault history). To view these parameters, which store the drive’s status at the time of the fault, view FaultHistory, and select Last Fault. Press the Shift key while viewing the last fault, and then use the UP andDOWN arrow keys to scroll through the stored drive status parameters. Press the Shift key again to re-turn to the programming mode fault parameter.Code FaultDisplay Description Adv.FaultCode Explanation Suggestions for Recovery1 System System fault0, 1, 2 Internal microprocessorproblem Consult factory for repair or re-placement.3 Thermistor profile incor-rect Consult factory for repair or re-placement.2 EE Check-sum Checksum error0 Memory problem when re-flashing the drive’s memo-ryReset drive to factory settings.Consult VACON.1, 2, 3 Conflict in drive’s memory Reset drive to factory settings.Consult VACON.4Unable to write an EE pa-rameter after a parameterhas been changed throughthe keypad or SIOReset drive to factory settings.Consult VACON.5The drive is receiving EEwrite requests faster thanthey can be processed. This would typically becaused by writing parame-ters too frequently throughModbus.Slow down the frequency of Mod-bus writes.3 Curr Cali-br Current calibra-tion fault0 Current calibration fault onphase T1/U Check the motor connections to theterminal strip of the drive and atthe motor.Have motor checked.Consult VACON for repair or re-placement of drive.1 Current calibration fault onphase T2/V2 Current calibration fault onphase T3/W4 PowerSupp Power supplyfault 0 5 V supply is below 4 Vdcfor more than 100 msIncrease resistance between REFand analog inputs.Check wiring to REF terminals.Consult VACON.6 IOC Trip Instantaneousovercurrent trip0 Short circuit was detectedon power-up Remove the short from the powerwiring.Check for shorted motor.Consult VACON.1 Short circuit was detectedduring operation7 MOL MOL contact fault 0The MOL digital input wasactivated, depending onpull-up or pull-down logicconfigurationReset MOL contact or remove con-dition causing the MOL contact ac-tivation.8 Model ID ID # out of range 0, 1, 2 Control board is not read-ing the drive ID properly Consult VACON for repair or re-placement.10 Res Lock-out Restart lockout 0The number of fault re-starts is greater than thelimit defined in the cus-tomer parameter.Check the actual fault in the faultlog and use the appropriate reme-dy.11 Ground Ground fault 0The drive has detected cur-rent imbalance betweenoutput phases. Imbalancedetermined to be currentflow to ground.Check for unbalanced currents.Check for grounded motor leads ormotor.Consult VACON.Note: Shaded faults are auto-resettable, except where noted.Table 31:Vacon 50X Fault Codes
