41Planning ProfilesStartup KeysYou can program each of your Favorites Lists with a Startup Key (0-9) so thatwhen you power up the scanner and press the key number, just those FavoritesList(s) assigned to the key will be enabled for scan. Systems are not affected.Number TagsNumbers tags will allow you to tag each Favorites List, System, and Channel tolocate easier. Number tags can range from 0 to 99 for Favorites Lists andSystems and 0-999 for Channels. You can assign number tags to channels evenif the Favorites List does not have a number tag but, without a Favorites Listnumber tag, you can only navigate to these channels while holding or scanning inthat Favorites List. If two Favorites Lists have the same number tag, they will beselected in sequence. The first time you select the number tag, the scanner willgo to the first Favorites List assigned to that number tag; if you select the samenumber tag again, it will go to the 2nd Favorites List assigned to that number tag,and so on. The same rule applies to System and Channel number tags. See alsoUsing Number Tags.AlertsYou can program your scanner to alert you when, a Channel or Unit ID isreceived, you receive a Close Call hit, an ID is transmitted with an EmergencyAlert or you receive a Tone-out hit. For each alert in the scanner, you can selectfrom 9 different tone patterns, 15 volume settings, 7 colors, and 2 color patterns.Managing Favorites ListsFavorites Lists hold all your Systems, Sites, Departments, and Channels. Youshould assign a Quick Key to every Favorites List to quickly enable or disable thelist.
