User’s Manual 9-5TroubleshootingDisposing of PC and PC batteries■ Discard this PC in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Forfurther information, contact your local government.■ This PC contains rechargeable batteries. After repeated use, thebatteries will finally lose their ability to hold a charge and you will needto replace them. Under certain applicable laws and regulation, it may beillegal to dispose of old batteries by placing them in the trash.Battery doesn’t chargewhen the AC adaptor isattached (Batteryindicator does not gloworange.)If the battery is completely discharged, it will notbegin charging immediately. Wait a few minutes.If the battery still does not charge, make sure theoutlet of the AC adaptor is supplying power.Test it by plugging in an appliance.Check whether the battery is hot or cold to thetouch. If the battery is too hot or too cold, it willnot charge properly. Let it reach roomtemperature.Unplug the AC adaptor and remove the batteryto make sure the terminals are clean. Ifnecessary, wipe them with a soft dry cloth dippedin alcohol.Connect the AC adaptor and replace the battery.Make sure it is securely seated.Check the Battery indicator. If it does not lightup, let the computer charge the battery for atleast 20 minutes. If the Battery indicator lights upafter 20 minutes, let the battery continue tocharge at least another 20 minutes beforeturning on the computer.If the indicator still does not glow, the battery maybe at the end of its operating life. Replace it.If you do not think the battery is at the end of itsoperating life, contact your dealer.Battery doesn’t powerthe computer as long asexpectedIf you frequently recharge a partially chargedbattery, the battery might not charge to its fullcapacity. Fully discharge the battery, then try tocharge it again.Check the power consumption settings in thePower Options. Consider using a power savingfeature.Problem Procedure |
