Hotel User Guide Introduction1INTRODUCTION TO HOTELABOUT THE HOTEL APPLICATIONHotel software is intended for use by hotels and similar establish-ments which operate a Samsung DCS, DCS Compact II or iDCSkeyphone system. The software is managed through display key-phones and allows the manager and front desk staff to check guestsin and out, enter items for billing, check the status of rooms, andcarry out other tasks that are a routine part of daily administration.Your Hotel system will already have been set up to operate in themost appropriate way for your establishment. If you need to makeany changes to the system configuration, refer to the Samsung HotelInstallation & Programming Manual.WHAT IS COVERED IN THIS GUIDESection 1 is this introduction to the Hotel application.Section 2 takes you through the procedures required to performday-to-day administration including checking in a guest, checkingout a guest, adding billing items to guests’ bills, adding credit pay-ments, setting wake up calls, printing bills, and so on. The proc e-dures require you to have access to one or more Administrator’sdisplay keyphones on which Hotel features have been programmed.Simple key presses allow you to perform all of the functions requiredfor Hotel administration.Section 3 explains how to use the special HOTEL key programmedon the keyphone. This can be used for checking in, checking out,changing room status and printing status reports.Section 4 shows you how to print a Property Management System(PMS) activity report and describes its contents. |
