Hotel User Guide Basic Administration23SETTING A “MESSAGE WAITINGINDICATION”, “CAMP-ON” OR “CALL-BACK” ON A GUEST PHONEIf you ring an extension from the Administrator’s phone with a mes-sage, and the extension does not answer or is busy, it is possible toleave an indication that you have a message waiting for that exten-sion. Alternatively, you can set a ‘callback’ or a ‘camp on’.• A message waiting indication alerts the extension user that youare trying to contact them. A message key LED or special light onthe extension will flash* or a special ‘message waiting tone’ isheard when the extension handset is lifted.• A callback means that the extension will automatically ring youback when it is free.• A camp-on means your call will continue to ring at the busy ex-tension until it is answered.* The use of a flashing message light is an optional feature avail able withselected telephones.
