RAM● Fixed: Recording is performed with fixed resolution. Thisallows smoother recording of fast moving pictures, etc.Still ModeSelect the type of picture shown when you pause play.(Refer to “Frames and fields” on page 70.)● Automatic● Field: Select if jittering occurs when “Automatic” is selected.● Frame: Select small text or fine patterns cannot be seen clearlywhen “Automatic” is selected.Seamless PlayPlays chapters in the play list in a continuous playback method.● Seamless Play does not work with programs recorded inLPCM or when using Quick View.● On: Enables smoother playback. (Does not function duringQuick View and when the audio of chapters varies.Also, playback position may change.)● Off: Playback can be done with greater precision, butcontinuous play may be momentarily halted.Line-in NRReduces video tape noise while dubbing.● When noise reduction is on, “3-D Y/C Separation” (see above)does not work regardless of the setting.● Automatic: Noise reduction only works on input picture from a videotape.● On: Noise reduction works for any input video.● Off: Noise reduction is off.
