7Definition of TermsAngleSome DVD discs feature scenes simultaneouslyshot from different angles. The ANGLE button can beused to view the scene from different angles. (ANGLEIndicator lights up on the unit when ascene recorded at different angles is detected.)Chapter NumberTitles are subdivided into numbered sections. You canquickly search for a favorite scene using these numbers.DVDA high-density optical disc on which high-qualitypictures and sound have been digitally recorded.DVD incorporates new video compressiontechnology (MPEG II) and high-density recordingtechnology which allow entire movies to berecorded with incredible playback quality.Playback ControlWith Video CD (version 2.0), scenes or informationmay be selected for viewing or listening from aninteractive menu that appears on the TV screen.SubtitlesWritten dialogue which appears at the bottom of the screen.Time NumberThe elapsed play time from the start of a disc or title.Use to quickly find scenes.
