78 Editing: Playlist FunctionEditingPlaylist FunctionThis unit allows the user to create a playlist that combines thedesired audio and video sections recorded on a P2 card. Theuser can play back the clip sections on the playlist to checkwhat the created footage will look like after editing. Sectionsof audio and video selected for playback are referred to as anevent and a list of such events is called a playlist. Editingresults can easily be checked since editing does not involveany direct changes of clip data.In normal playback, playback starts from the starting pointand goes on until the last clip.Playlist playback continuously plays back only the requiredclip sections.Use the playlist mode to create playlists.◆ NOTE:• Playlists are stored in the playlist area of memory in this unit and canalways be accessed from the playlist screen. Playlists can also bestored on a P2 card.• Voice-overs can also be recorded. Since the audio data should besaved to the same P2 card as the playlist, first save the playlist to aP2 card.• Do not use 24PN clips that have undergone nonlinear editing in aplaylist. Edit points may not be correctly recorded.• Do not use and register multiple copies of the same clip since thatmay result in incorrect recognition.• Up to 100 events can be created per track.• The maximum duration of a playlist is 23:59:59:29.
