Part Number STH044 10/13 33Cleaning And Sanitizing ProcedureIce machines that are heavily scaled or have not beencleaned on a regular basis will need to run the HeavilyScaled Cleaning Procedure before this one. Failure todo so may result in binding of the auger as the limescale releases from the auger and evaporator barrel.Ice machine cleaner is used to remove lime scale orother mineral deposits. Ice machine sanitizer is usedto remove algae or slime.Step 1 Remove panels and set the ICE/OFF/CLEANtoggle switch to the OFF position.Step 2 Turn off the water supply to the ice machine.Step 3 Remove all ice from the bin.Step 4 Place ICE/OFF/CLEAN toggle switch in theCLEAN position. The dump valve will open and drainthe water from the evaporator and reservoir.Step 5 Wait approximately 30 seconds (or until theevaporator is drained) and place the toggle switch inthe OFF position.!
