Part Number STH044 10/13 19OperationIce Making Sequence of OperationRNS012 - RNS020 NUGGET MACHINESIce Making Sequence of OperationPRIOR TO STARTUPWhen the toggle switch is placed in the ICE positionthe following must occur in the listed order before icemaking will start.• The 15 minute delay period must be expired. Thedelay period starts upon application of power or achange in toggle switch position.• The ice chute damper must be in the closed ordown position.• The water sensing switch must be closed (waterreservoir full of water and water sensing float in theup position).INITIAL STARTUPA 15 minute delay period must expire. The delayperiod starts to time out upon application of power andcan not be overridden. When the five minute delayperiod expires, the gear motor energizes. The water inthe reservoir closes the water sensing (float switch)and the compressor and condenser fan motorenergize.FREEZE CYCLEThe float valve automatically maintains the water levelin the reservoir. The ice damper will open and close toverify ice production. The ice machine will continue tomake ice until the ice damper is held open (up) as icefills the bin.
