Before using battery cartridge, read all instructionsand cautionary markings on (1) battery charger, (2)battery, and (3) product using battery.2. Do not disassemble battery cartridge.3. If operating time has become excessivelyshorter, stop operating immediately. It mayresult in a risk of overheating, possible burnsand even an explosion.4. If electrolyte gets into your eyes, rinse them outwith clear water and seek medical attention rightaway. It may result in loss of your eyesight.5. Do not short the battery cartridge:(1) Do not touch the terminals with anyconductive material.(2) Avoid storing battery cartridge in acontainer with other metal objects suchas nails, coins, etc.(3) Do not expose battery cartridge to wateror rain.A battery short can cause a large current flow,overheating, possible burns and even a breakdown.6. Do not store the tool and battery cartridge inlocations where the temperature may reach orexceed 50 잧 C (122 잧 F).7. Do not incinerate the battery cartridge even ifit is severely damaged or is completely wornout. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.8. Be careful not to drop or strike battery.9. Do not use a damaged battery.10. Follow your local regulations relating todisposal of battery.SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.Tips for maintaining maximum battery life1. Charge the battery cartridge beforecompletely discharged.Always stop tool operation and charge the batterycartridge when you notice less tool power.2. Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge.Overcharging shortens the battery service life.3. Charge the battery cartridge with room temperatureat 10 잧 C - 40 잧 C (50 잧 F - 104 잧 F). Let a hot batterycartridge cool down before charging it.4. Charge the battery cartridge once in every sixmonths if you do not use it for a long period of time.FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTIONCAUTION:• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and thebattery cartridge is removed before adjusting orchecking function on the tool.Installing or removing battery cartridgeFig.1• Always switch off the tool before installing orremoving of the battery cartridge.• To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the toolwhile sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.• To install the battery cartridge, align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the housing andslip it into place. Always insert it all the way until itlocks in place with a little click. If you can see the redindicator on the upper side of the button, it is notlocked completely. Install it fully until the red indicatorcannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall out ofthe tool, causing injury to you or someone around you.• Do not use force when installing the batterycartridge. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, itis not being inserted correctly.Battery protection system(Battery cartridge with a star mark)Fig.2The battery cartridge with a star mark is equipped withthe protection system, which automatically cuts off theoutput power for its long service life.The tool stops during operation when the tool and/orbattery are placed under the following situation. This iscaused by the activation of protection system and doesnot show the tool trouble.• When the tool is overloaded:At this time, release the switch trigger,remove the battery cartridge and removecauses of overload and then pull the switchtrigger again to restart.• When battery cells get hot:If any operation of the switch trigger, themotor will remain stopped. At this time, stopuse of the tool and cool or charge the batterycartridge after removing it from the tool.• When the remaining battery capacity gets low:If any operation of the switch trigger, themotor will remain stopped. At this time,remove the battery cartridge from the tooland charge it .Adjusting depth of cutFig.3Depth of cut may be adjusted by simply turning the knobon the front of the tool so that the pointer points thedesired depth of cut. |
