325AIR CLEANERThe air cleaner is connected to theair temperature and intake sensorswhich send the electrical signalsrequired for the correct operation ofthe injection and ignition system tothe control unit.Consequently, the cleaner mustalways be in perfect conditions toensure correct operation of theengine and in order to contain con-sumption and exhaust emissions.Replace the air cleanermore frequently thanshown in the ServiceSchedule if the car is used ondusty roads.The cleaner can be dam-aged if it is cleaned andconsequently the enginecan be damaged.DIESEL FILTER(JTD versions)DRAINING THECONDENSEThe presence of water inthe fuel feed circuit canseverely damage theinjection system and make theengine misfire. Go to a LanciaDealership as soon as possiblewhen the c warning light comeson together with message“WATER IN DIESEL FILTER” onthe multifunction display to havethe bleeding operation carriedout.The air cleaner replace-ment procedure is pro-vided for indicative pur-poses only. Have the operationcarried out at a LanciaDealership. Car safety can becompromised if the cleanerreplacement procedure hereindescribed is not carried out cor-rectly.
