Calibration Procedures 1Keysight U1281A/U1282A Service Guide 41To change the calibration security codeThis feature allows you to enter a security code to prevent accidental orunauthorized calibration of the meter. The meter will be secured automaticallyafter power off. Ensure you unsecure the meter by entering the correct securitycode before you adjust or calibrate the multimeter.1 Press for more than 1 second after unsecuring the multimeter. Thepreviously saved security code is shown on the display. If you are changing thecalibration security code for the first time or if you have reset the security codeto its factory default, is shown on the display2 Set your new calibration security code by entering any four digits ranging fromto .– Press or on to move the cursor to the left or to the right.– Press or to increment or decrement the digit.3 Press to save the new calibration security code.If the new calibration security code has been successfully stored, the displaywill show .4 Record down your new calibration security code, and store it in a safe location.See Figure 1-6 for the multimeter display.Esc ShiftHoldVsenseHz Save
