26FEATURES menuSLEEP TIMERYou can set the TV to automatically turn offafter a specified period of time.1 Choose SLEEP TIMER, then pressthe a buttonA Sub-menu of the SLEEP TIMERfunction appears.2 Press the 5 buttons to set theperiod of time.Then press the a buttonYou can set the period of time amaximum of 120 minutes (2 hours) in 10minute increments.• One minute before the SLEEP TIMERfunction turns off the TV, “GOODNIGHT!” appears.• The SLEEP TIMER function cannotbe used to turn off the TV’s mainpower.• When the SLEEP TIMER function ison, you can display the Sub-menu ofthe SLEEP TIMER function again toconfirm and/or change the remainingperiod of time of the SLEEP TIMERfunction. Press the a button to exitthe menu after confirming or changingthe remaining time.To cancel the SLEEP TIMERfunction:Press the 2 button to set a period of timeto “OFF”.CHILD LOCKWhen there is a TV channel you wish yourchildren not to watch, you can use theCHILD LOCK function to lock out the TVchannel. Even when a child chooses aProgramme number (PR) in which a lockedTV channel has been registered, the screenwill change to blue and displays n (CHILDLOCK) so the TV channel cannot be viewed.Unless you enter a pre-set ID number by aspecial operation, the lock cannot be releasedand the child cannot view the TV channelprogrammes.
