FIRMWARE UPGRADEAll firmware upgrade is done in Common Service Tool (CST).See CST support site for help�What is what on theMultiprogrammerThe Multiprogrammer requires morepower than a single USB port candeliver� Therefore a USB Y cable isincluded so power can be drawnfrom two USB ports simultaneously�Always connect both connectorsdirectly to the USB ports on thecomputer� Never connect through anexternal USB hub�Numbers of the cable connections on the multiprogrammer.Firmware update for PP440,PP480 and PP490First see: Opening the PP 490 (p.124)WARNING!Make note of the runninghours before starting thefirmware update, they will beerased during the update.Cable Connections on Inverter boardand backside of Main board:A� Power Supply ConnectionB� JTAG ConnectionC� Arm MotorD� Longitudinal MotorE� Main InterfaceF� Hall InterfaceControler Board Backside of Main BoardA firmware update should be performed with the power packdisconnected from power. During the update make sure to performfirmware updates on all the five different interfaces:• FKD20 – updates the processor on the Controller board whichcontrols the wall saw blade motor and DM-PC motor.• Arm Motor – updates the processor on Main board which controlsthe arm feed.• Longitudinal Motor – updates the processor on Main board whichcontrols track feed.• Hall Interface – updates the processor on Main board that handlescommunication, including hall sensor data together with theZ-shaped circuit board in the saw head.• Main Interface – updates the processor on Main board that handlesthe overall logic, including the remote control and regulator controlsystems. WARNING!Switch off and unplug thepower pack. Wait at least5 min before starting themaintenance and services. |
