18 Gateway ALR 7200R User’s Guide SupplementCompleting the InstallationInstalling a Cable RetractorCable retractors offer setup advantages in that they reduce strain on thedrawer cables and connectors as well as simplify maintenance because theykeep the cables neatly out of the way. Install the cable retractors as follows:1. Position the cable retractor to the rear side of the cabinet so that themounting holes on both retractor and cabinet are aligned.2. Using two screws, secure the cable retractor to the mounting holes onthe rear of the system drawer.Dressing the Cables1. Route the cable(s) from the rear of the system drawer over to the cableretractor, where it is mounted on the rear of the drawer.2. Secure the cables to the cable retractor with tie straps. The cableretractor is designed with tie holes wherein to insert and fasten the tiestraps.
