Connecting the System Drawer 13Connecting the System DrawerConnecting Peripherals1. Power off all drawers and devices in the cabinet before attaching anyof the system drawer cables.2. Verify that the system drawer power switch is OFF as well.3. If you plan on setting up the system drawer to control other drawers inthe cabinet, connect external data cable(s) of their correspondingcontroller card(s) to the device(s) to be controlled.4. If daisy-chaining the system drawer, connect a rackbus cable into oneof its rackbus connectors as well as the next drawer’s rackbusconnector. Up to seven drawers can be connected this way.5. Connect all I/O device cables (keyboard, mouse, video, serial andparallel) to their respective ports on the rear of the system drawer.
