Drives 354Replacing andAdding InternalDevicesDrivesThere are several types of drives and similar devices that can be installed inthe server.Preparing to replace or add a driveOne 3.5-inch diskette drive, at least one 1-inch high 3.5-inch hot-swap harddrive, and one slimline CD drive are included with the server. You can addup to four additional 3.5-inch hot-swap drives for a total of five hot-swapdrives. You may also add one 5.25-inch device.As you prepare to install drives, keep the following in mind: If you remove a drive, place it in an antistatic bag or container. Before you install a drive, see the drive documentation for informationon configuring the drive, setting any jumpers on the drive, and attachingcables to the drive. If you are installing a drive that uses an add-in controller, install theexpansion card before you install the drive. You may need to configure the drives you install using the BIOS (BasicInput/Output System) Setup utility or the SCSISelect utility. Press F2 atstart up to open the BIOS Setup utility or press CTRL +A to enter theSCSISelect utility.
