The availablerouting settings vary based on the activityselected.Select Setup > Routing.Activity: Sets an activity for routing. Thedevice calculates routes optimized for thetype of activity you are doing.Route Transitions: Sets how the deviceroutes from one point on the route to thenext. This setting is available only forsome activities. Distance routes you tothe next point on the route when you arewithin a specified distance of your currentpoint.Lock On Road: Locks the blue triangle,which represents your position on themap, onto the nearest road.Heading SettingsYou can customize the compass settings.Select Setup > Heading.Display: Sets the type of directional headingshown on the compass.North Reference: Sets the north referenceused on the compass.Go To Line/Pointer: Allows you to use thebearing pointer that points in the directionof your destination, or use the coursepointer that shows your relationship to thecourse line leading to the destination.Compass: Automatically switches from anelectronic compass to a GPS compasswhen you are traveling at a higher rate ofspeed for a period of time.Calibrate Compass: Allows you tocalibrate the compass if you experienceirregular compass behavior, for example,after moving long distances or afterextreme temperature changes.
