GPSMAP 60CSx Owner’s ManualbAsIc oPerAtIon > bAsIc oPerAtIonFinding an IntersectionIf you downloaded optional detailed mapping data,use the Intersections icon on the Find Menu to searchfor an intersection. When you enter the two streetnames and a city, the Find feature matches them withintersections in the map database.To find an intersection:1. Press FIND to open the Find Menu.2. Highlight the Intersections icon, and pressENTER to open the Intersections Page.3. If your unit has a GPS fix, the <Enter Region>field is populated with your current region.You do not have to specify a city in the City>, because the database has informationfor the entire region. However, you can selecta city if you want to reduce the possiblenumber of intersection matches.4. Highlight the field, and pressENTER.5. Type the street name using the on-screenkeypad. When finished, highlight OK, andpress ENTER again.6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to enter a street namein the field. When finished, alist of matches appears below.7. Select an intersection, and press ENTER toopen the information page.Searching for a Point of InterestIf you downloaded optional MapSource detailedmapping, you can use the All Points of Interesticon on the Find Menu to locate a nearby restaurant,lodging, landmark, public building, and so on.Intersectioninformation pageList of matchingintersections
