Within this period, Garmin will, at its sole option,repair or replace any components that fail in normal use.Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to thecustomer for parts or labor, provided that the customer shall beresponsible for any transportation cost. This warranty does notcover failures due to abuse, misuse, accident, or unauthorizedalteration or repairs.THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES CONTAINEDHEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHERWARRANTIES EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY,INCLUDING ANY LIABILITY ARISING UNDER ANYWARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESSFOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, STATUTORY OROTHERWISE. Securely packthe unit and a copy of the original sales receipt, which isrequired as the proof of purchase for warranty repairs. Writethe tracking number clearly on the outside of the package.Send the unit, freight charges prepaid, to any Garmin warrantyservice station.Online Auction Purchases: Products sold through onlineauctions are not eligible for rebates or other special offersfrom Garmin. Online auction confirmations are not acceptedfor warranty verification. To obtain warranty service, anoriginal or copy of the sales receipt from the original retaileris required. Garmin will not replace missing components fromany package purchased through an online auction.I nternational Purchases: A separate warranty is providedby international distributors for units purchased outside theUnited States. This warranty is provided by the local in-countrydistributor and this distributor provides local service for yourunit. Distributor warranties are only valid in the area of intendeddistribution. Units purchased in the United States or Canadamust be returned to the Garmin service center in the UnitedKingdom, the United States, Canada, or Taiwan for service.
