When you pan the map and move the arrowover a map item, you see a highlighted description ofthe item.To create a waypoint using the Map Page:1. On the Map Page, use the ROCKER to movethe pointer to the map item you want to markas a waypoint.2. Press and quickly release ENTER to capturethat location and open the information page forthe map item.3. Highlight Save, and press ENTER.If the map item selected contains noinformation, a “No map information at thispoint. Do you want to create a user waypointhere?” message appears. Highlight Yes, andpress ENTER.4. To change any information on the WaypointPage, highlight the appropriate field, andpress ENTER to open the on-screen keypad.After entering and confirming your changes,highlight OK, and press ENTER.Information page for amap point with dataInformation page for amap point without dataCreating a Waypoint Using CoordinatesYou can manually enter location coordinates to createa waypoint. This method is useful for creating awaypoint at a specific latitude/longitude position froma chart.To create a new waypoint by enteringlocation coordinates:1. Create a new waypoint, press MARK.2. On the Waypoint Page, highlight the Locationfield, and press ENTER to open the on-screenkeypad.
