23Winds Aloft AltitudeThe Winds Aloft Altitude selection provides thepilot with the ability to select any wind altitude fromthe ground up to 42,000 feet in 3,000 foot increments.When no data are shown at a given altitude, the datafor that altitude has not been received. Wait for thenext update. The selected altitude is depicted belowthe WINDS label.To change the XM Weather Winds Aloft altitude:1. With the “WINDS” product selected, turn thelarge right knob to highlight the altitudevalue.2. Turn the small right knob to change thevalue.3. When done, press the small right (CRSR)knob again to remove the cursor (removehighlighting from the altitude field).Section 3: XM AUX PagesWhen a GDL 69 (or GDL 69A) is installed, three(or four) pages are inserted into the 500W/500W’sAUX page group. Here we discuss the two pages thatare inserted regardless of whether the XM receiver is aGDL 69 or GDL 69A:• XM Information Page. This page containsinformation that you will use when activatingyour XM satellite radio subscription.• XM Weather Timestamp Pages. These pagesshow timestamp data for the most recentlyreceived XM weather data.The other AUX page, which is installed only if theXM receiver is a GDL 69A, is the XM audio page.XM Information PageThe XM Information page in the AUX page groupis the page you will refer to when activating your sub-scription to the XM Satellite Radio services.• Audio ID. The Audio ID contains the eight-character identification code of the XM Audioradio built into the GDL 69A. Provide this IDto XM Satellite Radio when activating an XMaudio subscription.
